I remember a few moons ago…I walked into one of the classes I was taking at a seminary school. I was one of the last people who entered the class & the instructor was asking students to say their name & religious denomination. You know…like…are you Catholic, Methodist, Baptist, etc…??? Well…when he got to me, I told them my name & followed it with, “I don’t subscribe to any particular denomination. I am just trying to follow Jesus.” I 
remember sitting there thinking… “Why even ask such a question? The denomination doesn’t determine how closely you are following God. The condition of your heart will determine that.” For the most part, I have found that people use religious denominations as a means to separate themselves from others…as opposed to…bringing people together. Now…
Even Jesus… didn’t… & doesn’t follow any religious denomination. Jesus has just … always…been. And for the record…Jesus never told any of his disciples to call themselves “Christians.” I’ve come to understand that humans just have a tendency of categorizing & labeling things/people. This is done because of good & bad…intentions. Anyway… In grouping themselves into these religious categories, people have then… found it necessary to build places to congregate with the name of their denomination on the outside of the building. The funny part is this… If you look at their signage, many of the times it will say something like… “All are Welcome.” Now…think about this… If you truly are trying to follow the way of God…shouldn’t that just be a given. Jesus welcomed “ALL” &…He never felt the need to have to say it. O.k…
I have visited many different denominational churches/temples. And…let me tell you about one sad thing I’ve found in most. When you dig underneath the surface… (& I didn’t have to dig too deep) it is mainly used by the people as another social club/group gathering. In actuality & in practice …God has been “lost in the sauce.” I have found this to be so… far too many times…even though…their purpose for gathering is suppose to be for God’s purposes. Let me explain… The churches I have 
visited have been run by people of different races, etc… Now, with that said, let me put it like this… I’ve found just as many devilish spirits “inside” the church as I have found “outside” the church. In other words, there is no got damn difference. Devils are everywhere. So don’t be fooled…regardless…of the denomination of the church/temple. In fact… I have found some of the biggest whores & whoremongers standing in pull pits preaching the word…singing “Hallelujah” in choirs…& shouting out “Amen” in the congregation. I’m telling you the truth to shame the devils. You know…
It can be a very disheartening thing…when you even see the people who are 
espousing to be following God to be doing the exact same… evil ass things as people who will tell you straight-up, “I don’t believe in God.” If you are seeing this too…just know…you are not alone. Sometimes, I tell you, it makes me want to scream. I want to scream out to these people, “WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE FOOLING??? HE IS GOD…PEOPLE. HE KNOWS THE DIFFERENCE!!!” You see… God knows if you are “frontin”…& He knows if you are the real deal in trying to follow him. And, if you truly believed & understood this…you would not pretend to follow his will when in actuality…your doing your own thing. Why? Because you would understand that He is not to be played with. Why? Because with the Father, there is always a ‘time of reckoning’ for the ‘pretenders.’ ” Now…
If the truth be told…the Father is sick & tired of the dilly dallying bullshit that even his children are putting down. HE IS! Time is of the essence & we no longer have the luxury of wasting it. The message for his children is get your 
shit in order…& get lined-up. My mother use to put it to us this way…”Straighten Up & Fly Right.” ( I know yall remember that too… Don’t act like you don’t.) O.k… Jesus talks about the disgust He has for those who proclaim his name while following the devil. Jesus says the following to the Church of Laodicea, “These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation. 15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. 19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. 20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” (Revelations 3:14-20) And, know this… Nothing is new under the sun. The same words Jesus spoke to the church goers of ole…apply to the church goers of today. O.k…
Jesus saw these people as who they really are…”HYPOCRITES.” Then Jesus 
said to the crowds and to his disciples: 2 “The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. 3 So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. 4 They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them. 5 “Everything they do is done for people to see: They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long; 6 they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; 7 they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called ‘Rabbi’ by others.” (Matthew 23:1-7) Jesus continued, 13 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to. [14] Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation. 15 Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are.” (Matthew 23: 13-15)
Jesus asked these hypocrites, “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord’ and do not do what I say?” (Luke 6:46) For me…that just captures it all. So I say this, “God never sleeps & He watches us 24/7. Either follow him…or…just stay your ass home on Sundays. He is not fooled by your outward appearances. Again, He sees how you yearn for the devil while you shout out “Jesus” in church. I will pray that God’s children turn from the wickedness of their ways…truly turn towards God… & worship him in spirit & in truth. For…that’s the only way that God wants you. For…that’s the only way that He will accept you.”
