Since the Republican Presidential Candidate Debate on Thursday Night…Marco Rubio has been calling Donald Trump a “Con Artist.” A “Con Artist” is defined as: “a person who cheats or tricks others by persuading them to believe something that is not true.” I tell you what…Let’s look at Donald Trump’s statements to see for ourselves if he is in fact a “Con Artist.” O.k. Let’s go.
On November 21, 2015, at a campaign rally in Birmingham Alabama, Donald Trump, alluded that thousands of Muslims, in New Jersey, were cheering on 9/11 after the Twin Towers fell down in New York City. Donald Trump says, “I watched when the World Trade Center came tumbling down. And I watched in Jersey City, N.J., where thousands and thousands of people were cheering as that building was coming down. Thousands of people were cheering.” So…Did Donald Trump tell the truth or did he lie??? The truth is this: No one (including Donald Trump)…Not any news media…has found any video of thousands of people cheering in Jersey City on 9/11. And…Donald Trump has not produced any evidence of any kind to back-up his claim of Muslims cheering in Jersey City on 9/11. The Public safety officials on the ground in New Jersey say it never happened. Soooo…It looks like Donald Trump lied.
On Sunday, November 22nd, 2015 in a retweet. Donald Trump says: “Crime statistics show blacks kill 81 percent of white homicide victims.” Part of the tweet contains this picture:
So…Did Donald Trump tell the truth or did he lie??? The truth is this: Most people are killed by someone they know, and someone of the same race. The correct number for whites killed by whites was 82 percent in 2014, while the number of whites killed by blacks was 15 percent. Soooo…It looks like Donald Trump lied. Bill O’Reilly of Fox News challenged Trump’s tweet of inaccurate murder rates, and Trump suggested being accurate wasn’t so important: “Hey, Bill, Bill, am I gonna check every statistic? I get millions and millions of people … @RealDonaldTrump, by the way.” So…for Trump… He doesn’t give a damn about telling this lie on Black folk.
For months, Donald Trump has been claiming that he opposed the Iraq War before the invasion began. He did this to try & make the point that he has good judgment on foreign policy issues. History shows us that it was on March 19, 2003, that the United States initiated it’s war in Iraq claiming that there were Weapons of Mass Destruction found. Evidence has just been found that shows that Trump, in fact, did support the invasion of the Iraq war before it started. In an interview with Howard Stern on September 11, 2002, Donald Trump said he supported an Iraq invasion. Stern specifically asked Trump if he was for invading Iraq. Donald Trump responded, “Yeah, I guess so,…I wish the first time it was done correctly.” Soooo…It looks like Donald Trump lied…again.
So…Why is Donald Trump telling all of these lies? That’s easy. He wants people to vote for him so he can be the President of the United States. Trump feeds on the fears, racist hearts & intolerance of the American voters. Michael LaBossiere, a philosophy professor at Florida A&M University, says this about Trump, “He makes a clearly false or even absurdly false claim, which draws the attention of the media. He then rides that wave until it comes time to call up another one.” O.k.
According to our above-stated definition…Lying Your Ass Off “to trick people” into voting for you = “Con Artist.” So…Marco Rubio is right. Donald Trump IS a “Con Artist”…ALL DAY LONG!!! Maybe, Donald Trump needs “to pull his ear around to his mouth” & repeat to himself …what he wrote in The Art of the Deal: “You can’t con people, at least not for long. You can create excitement, you can do wonderful promotion and get all kinds of press, and you can throw in a little hyperbole. But if you don’t deliver the goods, people will eventually catch on.”
